Kennesaw State University Soccer Stadium

KSU STADIUM NIGHT SHOT1The Kennesaw State University Soccer Stadium is home to the KSU Women’s Soccer Team and the Women’s Professional Soccer Team the Atlanta Beat. The Stadium sits on an approximately 22 acre site which is home to additional athletic facilities that were all designed and constructed as part of the KSU Sports and Recreation Park Phase II. The additional facilities include an NCAA track, a natural grass practice field, and a multi-purpose synthetic turf field. The stadium itself has a seating capacity of just over 8300 seats with 10 luxury suites. The Venue was also designed to accommodate outdoor concerts with a seating capacity of 16,000.

The design and construction of this project was the result of remarkable efforts from the owner, design team and the contractor. The opening day game for the Atlanta Beat Women’s Professional Soccer team dictated the schedule for the project. Because the site fell within the limits of a natural watershed regulated by Georgia EPD Safe Dams program the permitting of the construction design documents was a difficult task to accomplish within the tight time constraints of the design schedule. OnSite was able to secure permits from the Georgia EPD Safe Dams Program, the NRCS, and The Cobb County Community Development department in what some would say was record timing that enabled the project to kick off construction on schedule.
