Mercedes Benz of Athens
Athens, GA
This 30-acre site was master planned for up to four dealerships. The first phase consisted of a 45,500-sf dealership building a show room, 18 bay shop, carwash, and 550 vehicle spaces. All infrastructure was installed to account for future phases including a regional detention pond. Driveways with decel lanes and left turn lanes were required to provide an access road between all phases that accommodate large delivery trucks. Gravity sanitary sewer was not available adjacent to the site, requiring OnSite to work with Oconee County, GDOT and the Owner to determine a gravity flow route. The solution was a 21' deep, 400-lf jack and bore under GDOT Hwy 316 in order to reach a sewer basin with capacity for the project.

Mercedes Benz of Union City
Union City, GA
A new Mercedes Benz showroom, shop, carwash, and 450 vehicle spaces were added to this 8-acre parcel. A large car tower will sit along the interstate to provide visibility from I-85. Car hauler access is provided through the site to allow vehicles to unload internal to the site. The site is extremely tight, therefore the stormwater detention facility is installed underground and consist of 8’ diameter perforated pipes to allow stormwater to infiltrate and provide runoff reduction. An 800' sanitary sewer main extension was required to provide gravity sewer service to the property. Permitting consisted of coordination with Union City, Fulton County, and the City of Atlanta.

McDonough Hyundai
McDonough, GA
Project consists over 9 acres adjacent to the Nissan McDonough site. Scope included a car dealership building with a showroom, shop, a carwash, and 500 vehicle spaces. Existing grades and owner requirements required the use of retaining walls to the site to raise the building and provide visibility from I-75. A “No Rise” study was required to allow for development within the existing flood plain. Stormwater is routed to a forebay with a water fountain, and then drains into a wet detention pond to meet the water quality and detention requirements. Decel lanes were required to access the site and large truck routes were provided throughout the site.
